One of the most important mission-driven objectives of a university is research, which is justified by three key reasons: a) to deepen knowledge until it becomes accessible to the public, b) to push the boundaries of knowledge in order to understand the current state of research in a particular field, and c) to advance those boundaries, making significant contributions to knowledge for the benefit of society. Research is one of the foundations on which a society evolves. It refines and challenges accumulated knowledge to seek what is best for humanity, considering that human beings are at the center of society. As long as their well-being and sustainability are ensured, society, in theory, can achieve a harmonious and peaceful coexistence.
