English, Technology and Telecommunications is a textbook addressed to students of different degrees in the field of Telecommunications Engineering. It has the aim of enhancing students’ abilities in English, as students are expected to achieve a B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This manual, structured into five different units and their keys, can be used individually (self-study) and/or in class (course-study). Each unit deals with a different technological device (radio, telephone, television, computers and the Internet). A Conscious Learning Grid is provided to students in order to check their improvement in their learning skills. There are also two suggested activities to develop on-line work (a wiki, a glossary and the course forum). With this textbook, we would like to present the basic aptitudes that the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) promotes to become fully developed European citizens.
